Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a slam ball, medicine ball and wall ball?

A slam ball is heavily filled with a dead bounce, built for hard floor throws. A medicine ball is the broadest category — firm or bouncy, for carries, twists and controlled throws. A wall ball is larger and softer, designed to be caught repeatedly after being thrown at a target.

What weight ball should I start with?

Many beginners start around 4-6kg for general conditioning; regular trainees often use 6-10kg for slams and carries. Wall-ball weight is usually lower than expected since it relies on endurance and coordination as much as strength.

Can I slam a ball on any home gym floor?

Repeated slams on bare laminate or an upstairs floor cause noise, vibration and wear. For flat or upstairs spaces, controlled drills (bear-hug squats, carries) are often the better choice over repeated slamming.
