Frequently asked questions

Should I buy a rowing machine for my home gym?

Strong choice if you want efficient full-body cardio, have enough floor length (rowers need more operating length than storage size suggests), and don't mind the technique learning curve. Less ideal if your room is tight or you know you prefer simpler cardio like walking or cycling.

Read the full guide: Should I Buy a Rowing Machine for Home?

Air rower, magnetic rower or water rower — which is best?

Air rowers give the most natural, effort-scaling feel but are louder — good for harder conditioning work. Magnetic rowers are quieter, suiting shared or noise-sensitive homes. Water rowers sit in between with a smoother feel and are often preferred aesthetically if the machine stays visible in a living space.

Is a rowing machine better value than a treadmill or exercise bike?

Often yes, since it covers more training uses (full-body, low-impact, intervals or steady state) in one footprint. But value depends on what you'll actually use — a less versatile machine you use five times a week beats a more versatile one gathering dust.
